Riebeek Kasteel ♡

An hour's drive from Cape Town is the hidden gem of Riebeek Kasteel.

 

 

 

 It is a charming tiny town with quaint shops, many good restaurants and spectacular views. Gin & Tonics on the verandah of the Royal Hotel are a thing.

 We were very fortunate to find the MOST beautiful spot to spend the night.  Villa Anna Katarina is perched at the top of the town and has amazing panoramic views over the entire Riebeek Valley.  

 

 

 

Not only that but the home itself and the decor is beyond droolworthy - loads of French Country style and unpretentious charm.

 

  

 

Our bedroom was elegant and eclectic.

We popped through to this amazing garden centre in nearby Riebeek West on our way to our next destination.  Absolutely stunning indoor landscaping!

So pleased we spent more than a day-trip / lunch out in this lovely part of the world.

Karoo Weekend ♡

This is the view from a Karoo farm I visited recently.

The little shepherd's cottage is beyond quaint and charming.

The perfect spot to read, crochet and chat.

Simple beautiful scenery - about 4 hours from Cape Town.

Well worth a visit!
