Moorgas Signature ♡

An absolute treat awaits at Moorgas & Co with the launch of Moorgas Signature under the artistic flair of their stylish Creative Director Lianne Moorgas.

A new showroom of interior vignettes with bespoke furniture, luxe linens, stylish blooms and an eclectic array of decorative objects.

Fabulous living and bedroom spaces been curated to tempt the visual palate.

A decor treasure trove for chinoiserie, classic and contemporary decor lovers.

I could not resist taking these happy snaps - there was so much to delight the eye.  These are just an appetiser of what is available.

Ginger jars, gorgeous planters, a Hermes orange coffee table, bamboo bar cart, adorable ottomans, fun piping details, linens and fabulous cushions are some examples.

All their custom quality furniture comes to life in this beautiful installation.

I'm coveting this particular French cushion, and was particularly taken with the sublime handblown locally made glassware.

Their website MoorgasSignature.com will be live soon.   Until then, feast on my pics!

Beach house art ♡

Our beach house needed more art.  More colour, more fun.  Enter evolving art.

BEACH BABE

Same same, but different.  My large scale oil painting of BEACH BABE now joins us in the living room, with the lagoon and Hermanus mountains as her background and backdrop.

The other side of the lounge already has my large blue SEASPRITE abstract, which is now balanced out with another blue abstract:

SEAWEEDS

These are four smaller paintings that I created for our guest bedroom downstairs:

BIRTHDAY BOUQUET

 ROSETTES

HAPPINESS 101

WISH UPON A JAR

Our entry with double volume staircase got a shot of

HOLIDAY LOVE

with this upgraded colourful installation.

Prints of all these paintings are available.

Art makes a home ♡

Art makes a home.  After all, what is a room without art (or plants)?

I created several new artworks to stage 2 homes recently.  The aim was to inject some light, bright contemporary personality to the living areas of a traditional cottage and small Mews apartment.

EMERALD GINGER DIPTYCH

This paired well with another abstract, which can be hung landscape or portrait.

LIFE AFTER 35

This complimentary abstract was used in the dining area:

VERDANT

I also included some (evolving) florals that I painted.

RAMBLING ROSES

  REGENCY MEMORIES

Love art that works well in various settings.  Here are these pieces at their second staging location:

In this bedroom I added an abstract that I made in 2000:

KISS KISS

These paintings are available to purchase, and I accept commissions.
A post on the new paintings that I made for our holiday home will follow soon.

Farmhouse Charm ♡

The most gorgeous pool in the Tankwa Karoo is at De Kruis farm.

This magnificient hideaway offers farmhouse charm and luxe living in every layered element designed to delight your senses.

How charming is an inviting weather worn country gate?  Just these low thick walls and a gate between our creature comforts and the austere beauty of the Karoo landscape.

The farmhouse at De-Kruis has so many beautiful doors, windows and staircases to lead the eye from inside and out. Some take you to day beds, others to night viewing platforms and deep cool interiors.

Simplicity to savour.  So many cool spots to retreat from the heat of the sun and contemplate the meaning of life.

My favourite space is the library near the shade of a welcoming big tree.

I love the milky glass of the windows, the beautiful chandeliers, the changing landscape and all the love and care poured into this home.  Browse my previous posts and instagram for more pictures!

For more information and to book check out the farm website:  https://de-kruis.com/

 Enjoy!
