We are in Lockdown Level 3 (with a beach and alcohol ban plus curfew) due to the second wave of Covid infections in South Africa.
A small break from weeks of social distancing at home to Kalk Bay was a much needed tonic.
Aside from Kalk Bay's beautiful sea, harbour and mountain views there
are also a treasure trove of shops filled with Boho, design and eclectic
curiosities.
In addition to numerous restaurant options there are art galleries and interesting buildings lining the main road. Many quirky details to entice the eye.
A delicious brunch at Dalebrook Cafe followed by a leisurely stroll and a bit of retail therapy was a wonderful way to spend the morning.
New discoveries with each new visit. Love being a tourist in our home town.
