Hermanus update ♡

With lockdown and beach bans we haven't had much incentive to visit our holiday house for a while.  When we returned recently we were reminded of how much you can do in Hermanus - aside from soaking up the beautiful scenery, the beaches and mountain. We keep discovering new things!

Although we have been visiting Hermanus for over 30 years we only "discovered" Ficks Pool this year ;-)  This is in large part to my love for finding new scenic venues for drinks/meals and so this came onto my radar.

I would recommend this for a tidal pool dip, or to visit for drinks (and maybe nibbles to share).

The drive back to Voelklip via the updated sculptural art displays is always fun:

Spot the Dassie!

The Hermanus market on Saturdays is the family fave for delicious artisan goodies and hearty local produce and food.  Bacon-on-a-stick is a drawcard on its own.

Hermanus is a really beautiful spot, 90 minutes from Cape Town and worth visiting and supporting all the many local eateries and galleries.

Our holiday home, close to the beach, is available to rent.
